Hearing Services

Hearing loss can be caused by many different factors. A proper hearing test is the first step in determining the source of the loss and the personal treatment that is designed just for you.

There is no one-size fits all approach to hearing aid fittings. Your hearing loss is unique to you and so is your prescription for treatment. Depending on your hearing loss, your lifestyle, and budget – we will help you find the perfect hearing aid for you.

OAE testing is used to find out how well your inner ear, or cochlea, works. It measures otoacoustic emissions, or OAEs. These are sounds given off by the inner ear when responding to a sound. There are hair cells in the inner ear that respond to sound by vibrating. The vibration produces a very quiet sound that echoes back into the middle ear. This sound is the OAE that is measured.

If you have normal hearing, you will produce OAEs. If your hearing loss is greater than 25–30 decibels (dB), you will not produce these very soft sounds.

This test can also show if there is a blockage in your outer or middle ear. If there is a blockage, no sounds will be able to get through to the inner ear.

Tinnitus or ringing in the ears, is the sensation of hearing ringing, buzzing, chirping, whistling or other sounds. It can be intermittent or constant, and can vary in loudness. No matter how you are affected by tinnitus, one thing is for sure – you want it to stop.

The good news is there are numerous tinnitus management tools available so that you don’t have to suffer any longer. Contact us to schedule an appointment to discuss your tinnitus symptoms.

We perform VNG (videonystagmography) testing, which can determine if you vertigo (dizziness and balance issues) is peripheral, central or unknown. This helps us determine if your vertigo is stemming from inner issues.

We clean and perform check-ups on your devices to make sure they are working properly.
